Bird Bounce was written in C for the Nintendo Gameboy and can be run on a GBA emulator. This was done as a final project for CS 2261 Media Device Architecture. See the video above for gameplay. I also created the visual assets for the game, including the backgrounds, sprites, and text.
The game utilizes the Gameboy’s “Mode 0” to make tiles and sprites appear and move around the screen. The player controls two cats who must work together to catch as many birds in the air as possible before time runs out. Catching multiple in a row will create a combo for an increased score.
